26 Jul What Are Treggings? How to Wear Them?
Treggings are leggings styled to look like trousers and fits just like leggings, but are usually made out of stretchy material like Ponte knit or scuba knit and made up of a thicker fabric than leggings. Treggings is a combination of words trousers and leggings.
Some of them are made with pant details which makes them look like a slim trouser pant, pencil pants, or slim pants. The best part I love about treggings is that they are comfortable pull-on, side zipper, or back zipper and more look professional with blazers and more oversized pieces.
Difference between Jeans, Leggings, Jeggings, and Treggings
Jeans are one of the most common & favourite bottom wear of almost every girl. They are made of denim fabric and primarily come in the shades of blue and black. However, now, other shades are also in the market to fulfil the diverse demands of fashion lovers. Jeans vary in terms of colour shades as well as styles such as a skinny, straight, boyfriend, and flared, and as per the length as well such as hot pants, capris, and ankle length.
Jeggings look just like jeans but are made up of thinner material and are more comfortable and stretchable which gives you a nice casual look. Jeggings can be paired with tops, T-shirts, shrugs, and Kurtis. They look great if you pair them with boots, tennis shoes, sandals, flats and yes, high heels.
Leggings are the tight-fitting bottom wears that are mostly paired up with Kurtis and tunic tops. I personally love leggings (especially in Delhi summer when we have +45°C temperature), they are easy to wear, keeps those jiggling bits in place, no thick waistband/zipper/button in and at the end all you have a nice casual look.
Treggings are the new addition to the family of bottom wears which looks like trousers and lend the wearer a formal look, making them perfect bottom wear for work. They are extremely comfortable and can be best paired up with shirts and jackets.
And now when asked “what are treggings?” you can be all smug and flaunt your fashion knowledge. 😉
