Can Tea Help You Lose Weight?
A cup of a herbal brew or gulping down 8-9 cups of green tea is not going to make you fit you back into your skinny clothes. Some research says tea can help you in losing a small amount of weight only if you pair it with a sensible diet and exercise.
Tip: Try swapping out your morning mocha latte with a cup of tea with lemon, I am sure you’ll trim almost 300 calories from your daily routine total, making you get rid of the extra fat deliberately.
Almost all types of tea enjoyed comes from a specific species of tea plant known as the Camellia sinensis. But these leaves are processed in different ways and each tea is a little different from each other.
# Black Tea – This is fermented in which a process takes place that allows it to change chemically and often increases its caffeine content with a strong, & rich flavor.
# Green Tea – Usually Green tea isn’t fermented & the leaves are simply steamed and then crushed by hand. It is especially high in the most potent type of catechin, called EGCG, which helps stimulate the metabolism of the body which further releases the fat into the bloodstream and the body uses the fat as fuel which produces extra energy. It sheds the extra water & helps to burn fat, especially in the stubborn belly.
So, to keep a check on your calorie intake, swap your cups of high caffeine and sugary teas with green tea about 2-3 cups every day. It basically cuts down on your hunger slowly & slowly.
# Oolong Tea – Oolong tea is a traditional Chinese tea made by drying tea leaves in the hot sun from the partially oxidized leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. It helps to increase the rate of fat burning for a certain task as in comparison to the normal energy taken for the same task.
# White Tea – This tea is the least processed with a light and sweet flavour. It has benefits such as boosting cardiovascular health, helping to lower cholesterol, reducing the risk of cancer.
