You must have seen Assam’s Girl Plabita Borthakur in her movie LUMB – Lipstick Under My Burkha along-with Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak, & Aahana Kumra. Plabita is born and brought up in Duliajan, Assam & based in Mumbai. She is the youngest sister of three siblings, her eldest sister Parinita is a TV actress, her middle sister Priyangi is an assistant director of the film: Badlapur. Plabita Borthakur is a singer for band Manu & Chow (MnC).
Plabita Borthakur did her debut in the Bollywood movie “PK” with Aamir Khan & Anushka Sharma in 2014 & she has done 20+ TVCs like PayTM, Flipkart, Paperboat, Lipton Green Tea, and so on. Her upcoming movie “Waah Zindagi” set to be released in December 2017. Her movie Lipstick Under My Burkha won the Spirit of Asia Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival and the Oxfam Award for Best Film on Gender Equality at the Mumbai Film Festival.
